OTopia Program
Amplifying the Impact of OT in Older Adult Residential Care Through Occupational Justice.
The OTopia Program is inspired by the concept of Utopia (Sargent, 2010), desiring to establish an older adult residential living guided by principles of equality and justice, as seen through the lens of occupational therapy (OT).
ABOUT
The OTopia Program is an evidence-based initiative designed for occupational therapy (OT) practitioners working with older adults. The program provides training to promote the understanding of occupational justice and equips practitioners with tools to mitigate occupational injustice in residential settings. Participants who complete the training will become OTopia-certified and join the OTopia Community—a platform for collaboration and advocacy in promoting Occupation-Based Practice.
